As a French-American who lived through the French bashing campaign around the start of the Iraq war, I can't help but link to this fun CNN/Time Magazine article: How we Became the United States of France. A rare fun read, in these times of economic and diplomatic disasters (thanks to Patrick for the pointer).It's almost as funny as Bill Maher's tirade on the French.
